GAME UPDATES

It's spring and we're doing some spring cleaning!

We wanted to touch base with everyone about a few adjustments after receiving player feedback.

Before we get into the details, we also want to take the time to share our surprise and delight that we've made it this far. When this game was first conceptualized, we never expected it to gain so much traction and support. Now we're almost three years old! Thank you all for hanging in there with us for sexy fun and shenanigans.

Without further ado, please see our incoming updates.

GAME-SPECIFIC UPDATES

EVENT PLOTTING POSTS

▷ After taking feedback from players, we adjusted the schedule for our February event and posted the OOC plotting and the IC event details on the same day. This allowed players to plan with full IC event details.

▷ Please let us know if you feel this change was a good one! If players overall agree that it was easier to plot with both posts presented together we are happy to update the calendar to make this a permanent adjustment. If not, we are open to trying something else or carrying on with the previous cadence.

CANON UPDATES

▷ Players have expressed interest in canon updates and we are happy to oblige! The rewards page will be updated on April 1st with canon updates added to the small reward tier.

▷ We understand most games allow canon updates freely. While we considered this, we ultimately felt that canon updates for the Peacock should be unique and have an impact on characters. By adding canon updates as a reward, we can (hopefully!) provide an experience that inspires creativity. Canon updates will include resort-specific engagement and an item.

▷ Accordingly, re-apps with game memories and canon updates are now allowed. We will use their character intro to provide specifics on how the canon update happens. The item and resort-specific engagement will only be available for canon updates done through rewards. We have added an advisory for players planning to reapp characters to the game to the application page for clarity.

SUIT CHANGES

▷ This is also something that was brought to us as feedback. Suits are currently static and can only be changed through the application process.

▷ We don't have much to add here except for the fact that, since the game is almost three years old, we are considering adding the ability to change suits to rewards as well. We have heard you and it's in the kitchen for cooking. Stay tuned!

HELPER MOD APPLICATIONS

WE NEED SOME PEACHICKS!

▷ Mother Peahen and Daddy Peacock feel that it's time to expand the nest and have some peachicks. We are opening applications for mod helpers soon! We are looking to add two peachicks to the team.

▶ One helper mod will prioritize processing rewards. The rewards peachick is responsible for checking threads to confirm viability for points and approving cashouts. This role involves some creativity, since we like to add a flair to delivering cashouts and, of course, giving characters arousing birthdays.

▶ One helper mod will prioritize assisting with events. The party peachick will help Daddy Peacock with TDMs and events. This includes drafting posts, pitching event and TDM ideas, work-shopping character-specific engagement, and so on. They will also assist the rewards peachick when an extra pair of wings is needed.

▷ Helper applications will open after we have finished processing our March applications. Please consider joining us to create some slutty fun!

hi mods! thanks for all of this -- i'm super excited for canon updates!

in terms of event timing and ooc plotting, i personally felt like it was less useful to post the ooc info + ic post together, and it made me feel less engaged in the event overall because i felt like i was already behind before i even started plotting or writing. it usually helps me to have a little bit of time to process an event and consider what i want to do with it, so combining that with the desire to hit the ground running (as ic posts often inspire people to do!) didn't really work for me. i vastly prefer having a few extra days to plot before the event post goes up.

i totally understand this being an attempt to help out the people who would like more info when they do their plotting, and i appreciate that you guys are so considerate of what your players are looking for! i wonder if it would be feasible instead to just offer more details in the ooc plotting post, and still have that go up a few days before the ic event post goes up? that way people who want more info have a little more to chew on, but people still have plenty of time to consider what they'd like to do before it's time to start playing.

as a secondary option, if more people would like for both posts to go up together, maybe they could both go up earlier (like when the plotting usually goes live on the 10th, rather than when the event goes live on the 15th)?

EDIT: oh right, i forgot to add about suit changes! i think it'd be very interesting to have a perma-suit change reward feature in the future, it's true. i also think it would be interesting to have the ability to temporarily swap (or add!) to a different suit, either through items, events, etc. (like back when there was a rank change event and people swapped ranks for a couple of weeks - something like that with suits could be fun and chaotic). basically, whatever chaos you guys want to cause with that sounds interesting, and i look forward to whatever you come up with!

Hullo! First off, thank you so much, mods, for literally everything. I'm having a lovely time here, and it's been great to see so much communication and desire to evolve along with your playerbase.

As for the OOC Plotting + Event timing, I really appreciated being able to see the full prompts, myself! So whether the plotting is posted at the same time as the event going forward, or prior to, I just personally prefer to have as much info as possible with the plotting post. However, I will admit to being one that likes to plot awhile before diving in, so it did feel like time spent with the event was cut a little short, or maybe that I was showing up late. So if it would be possible to still get the plotting before the event, but with more info, that would be the best of both worlds for someone like me.

Also gods absolutely bless you for cooking up canon-updates!!! I am so excited to utilize this feature 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 and I can definitely see how possibly changing suits could be desirable long-term...
